Although we don't eat candy yet, we enjoyed Trick or Treating. Elia has discovered all the houses on our block that have dogs and she just wanted to go to those. We didn't have as many tick or treaters as i thought we would but we did have fun with our best buddy Terran and his Mommy.
I think I have given up on a taking a good family picture. We can never get Elia to stay still or to smile if someone else is taking the picture. My dreams of a great Christmas photo card is pretty much dead.
A year ago we went to Priddy farms with our playgroup and we had an even better time this year. Getting pictures of Elia has proven to be a challenge lately because she is always on the move. i got a few good ones.
She was in a much better mood after we ate lunch and I took her sweater off!
Words Elia knows: mama dada shoooo (shoes) sok (socks) me me (means i want that) side (for outside and "other side" for nursing) sta (star-she sounds like she has a Boston accent because the r does not get pronounced.) noz (nose) daa (dog) it used to be just woo woo goo gur (good girl) si dowww (sit down) gurcel (circle) tooooooz (toes) caaa (car) twooo ahhhyah!! (Elia) hallo (hello) nigh nigh (night night) ceeeees (nursies) and we are pretty sure she can say ay wuv uu (I love you)
Since I don't already have enough on my plate, I have started another small business. It is called Mama y Wawa. Wawa is Quechua for baby. They are accessories for mother and child. I work with mostly felt and fabric to creat hair clips and pins. I recently did a craft show and it went pretty well. The rest of the inventory will go into my Etsy store. mamaywawa.etsy.com
Josh and I welcomed our daughter Elia Marie Canfield into the world on April 1st, 2008. She is such an amazing gift and we are so excited to watch her grow. We are now Memphis, TN residents. Josh is a senior financial analyst at Fed Ex and I am a full time mommy and starting a freelance floral design business.
